- 1993
- Taught myself to code. I was eight.
- 1997
- Took a bus to Boston, alone, at twelve, to introduce myself to the people whose software I had been beta testing.
- 1998
- Admin on about a dozen Hotline servers. In the archived chat transcript I am “zarf.”
- 2000
- Fifteen, first paid job. I built a trivia game on their chat server; when the regulars memorised the questions, I let them write new ones, and the game paid them in points every time one of theirs came up.
- 2007
- Prepress technician, 300–500 unique orders a day. I wrote software to automate the job I was doing. Nobody asked.
- 2011
- CIO over three states. Four years and four months after the typesetting.
- 2012
- Flew to Louisville on New Year’s Day. Wesbase is what came of it.
- 2022
- Moved onto a mountain as resident manager. Executive Director now.
- 2026
- 4 clients, 38 sheets, and a survey of the mountain I live on.
