Wesbase
Headless PhantomJS against AT&T's API-less systems, three date layers over 10,000+ concurrent tower builds, and a C# barcode network across a dozen warehouses — built on Quickbase in 2012, for a $500 million AT&T program

About
The program-management platform I built at WesTower Communications, starting January 2012 — a $50 million cellular tower construction company had won a $500 million AT&T contract, and AT&T's systems had no APIs and no SDKs. Headless PhantomJS sessions queried NORAD, CASPR, Treev, and Business Objects continuously, ETL'ing the results into one unified model on Quickbase. A tracker with three date layers and a nightly at-risk routine ran 10,000+ concurrent tower builds; a C# Motorola laser barcode system ran the warehouse network. I hired and led the eight-person engineering department around it, and left in July 2013.
Key features
- 01Headless PhantomJS sessions querying AT&T's API-less systems — NORAD, CASPR, Treev, Business Objects — continuously, ETL'd into a unified model
- 02Tracker grid with three date layers: plan set by AT&T, forecast set by the project manager, actual set at closeout with documentation attached
- 03Nightly routine pushing at-risk unactualized forecasts out 48 hours and notifying the responsible project manager
- 04Custom Motorola laser barcode system in C#, talking directly to Quickbase, across a dozen warehouses
- 05Version one: six laptops running Excel macros in parallel, before browser orchestration was viable
