About
A collector that pulls the WeatherNext 3 ensemble forecast for the building's grid cell every hour and keeps every model run, so run-to-run drift is visible and each hour of the future has a newest-init answer even when interim runs stop at 48 hours. Three sources sit behind one interface: Earth Engine as primary, a whole 360-hour run in 22 s; a hand-written Zarr v3 plus zstd chunk reader against Cloud Storage as the free fallback; and BigQuery, kept as a dry-run only after a 3-column point query measured at 381 GB billed.
Once the hours pass, each run is scored against the WeatherLink station: MAE, bias, RMSE and p10–p90 coverage by lead bucket over 30 and 90 days, as Postgres views tuned to the site's 3-second anonymous statement timeout. A next-6-hours view with freeze and snow flags feeds the boiler plant's outdoor-reset controller; the public weather page draws a 48-hour band, a 15-day strip, forecast drift and a skill line. Built in one session with 18 tests against a scratch Postgres 16.
